A game inspiring pure focus and concentration, the sport of Tennis requires mental tenacity under great pressure. Played at the new purpose built Darwin International Tennis Centre at the Marrara Sporting Complex, spectators will see the commitment of players through excellent smashes, aces, slices, athletic skill and hard work.

Dates and Times of Competition

Saturday 27 April – Tuesday 30 April  |  ITF Futures Event

Session Times: 0900 – 1900

Sunday 28 April – Wednesday 1 May  |  Teams Event 

Session Times: 0900 – 1900

Eligibility

There is no age restriction to compete in the ITF Future Series (Wheelchair) competition, players must meet certain criteria, as set out in the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Classification Rules and have an IPIN to register.

Players 16+ will be eligible to participate in the Open Teams Event. 

Athletes required to be 16 years of age on the first day of competition.

Open teams: 2 men & 2 women per team

Para Tennis: Invitational ITF Futures Series – There will be an athlete eligibility fee of $80 for Futures and $60 for Juniors payable to Tennis NT (an invoice will be provided once registered through the system).

Competition Format

ITF Future Series (Wheelchair event) will consist of an elimination draw with a sign-in consolation draw.

For juniors age groups, if there are <4 players, a round-robin pool will be run.

The Open Teams Event will consist of round-robin pool play, followed by semi-finals and/or finals depending on number of teams within the event.

The competition will run according to ITF Rules and ITF Wheelchair Tennis Rules.
