Business Engagement Program
The Business Engagement Program was designed to create and leverage economic opportunities to the NT by encouraging international investors to visit Darwin during the Arafura Games. A program of investment-themed events, functions and seminars took place between 26 April – 1 May, highlighting Territory industries such as agribusiness, minerals and energy, tourism, innovation, international education, health, and oil and gas supply and service opportunities.
A successful History of Trade Exhibition was curated as a backdrop to the BEP events, and to introduce the products and commodities of the Territory in an interesting and unique way. This exhibition was open to the public during the week of the Games, drawing enthusiastic support from the visitors who attended.
The exhibition is currently installed at the Activate Darwin Hub in the Smith Street Mall, Darwin City, where it will be on display until mid-June 2019. All welcome and free to attend.
The BEP sessions were well attended, with many visitors making the trip to Darwin especially to be present. Extremely positive feedback was received from all stakeholders, including attendees, speakers, session organisers, sponsors, and supporters.
Thank you to our sponsors for their generous sponsorship.
